During his 40 years as a Democratic Political Strategist, he’s been employed by the White House, served as a devoted aide to Civil Rights leader Jesse Jackson and once met with South Africa’s first democratically elected President, Nelson Mandela. “Craig, come,” Kirby remembers Mandela gently telling him.

Open to Juniors Age 8 to 15, Community's Junior Golf Lessons will be a great way to introduce your Junior to a game of a lifetime. 

Open to both genders, these sessions will be held in two-week sessions Tuesday through Thursday beginning at 10am.

Lessons will be led by the staff at Community Golf Course and Registration will be  stewarded by the Miami Valley Golf Association.  

Scholarship opportunities are available and space is limited, so act shortly to not be closed out!

In celebration of ‘Mobility May’ it seemed only fitting that we talk about mobility.  Mobility and flexibility, or lack of,  is one of the most common reasons golfers come to our facility.  Most people think that mobility and flexibility are the same, when in fact they are two very different concepts.  Flexibility is the ability of a muscle, or muscle group, to lengthen passively through a range of motion.  Mobility is the ability of a joint to move actively through a range of motion.  Mobility also takes into account the component of motor control with the nervous system, or how you control that range of motion.  Mobility training is much more effective than traditional stretching because it addresses movement and how well you can control that movement.

To correspond with the ending of the off season and the beginning of the new golf season our MVGA/GHIN Membership 2020 season closed on Sunday, March 14 and the 2021 season began on Monday, March 15.

Just what does that mean?

If you play at a public facility or are a member of a non real estate club like "eClub" and have not already renewed for the upcoming season your account was placed into an "Inactive Status".

To change this status all you need to do is renew at the facility either online or in person.  

If you are a member at a Private Facility the staff manages this for you, therefore, no action is needed.

Now back for it's third year, the 2021 Season Challenge to post more rounds of golf during our active season then in 2020 began this past Monday and will end at the end of our Active Season, November 30th.

Still in it's very early stages, a group of area Golfers are exploring ways to reestablish the Game at the Madden Golf Property.

Calling all Junior Golfers don't forget to get registered for this years edition of Drive Chip and Putt.  There are local qualifiers all within an easy drive.  In our area there is one at Miami Shores on May 1st & Heatherwoode on July 15th.

The Men Flyers their season by finishing second in the A10 Conference Championship this last weekend at the Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, FL and Henry May a Freshman at UD won the medalist honors and will be continuing his season by heading to Noblesville Indiana to play in the NCAA Regional, May 17-19.

The Wittenberg Men Tigers finished 2nd in the  NCAC conference championship at Denison Golf Club.

The Lady Tigers finished 3rd in their NCAC conference championship at Westbrook CC.
