One of the most effective ways to prepare young people for the future is through the game of golf. Golf challenges the mind, promotes physical activity in the outdoors, fosters meaningful relationships, and builds character. While we may be biased, numerous independent studies confirm the game’s positive impact on developing healthy, well-rounded adults.
Since our founding, Miami Valley Golf has been committed to connecting youth in our region with the game. We do this by supporting and developing programs with a proven record of success.
Nationally, we support initiatives such as The First Tee, PGA Junior League, Drive, Chip & Putt, and the Evans Scholars Program.
Locally, we have welcomed and supported the Southern Ohio PGA Junior Tour, Golf. My Future. My Game., internships and fellowships, and Youth on Course—which allows juniors to play for just $5. We also steward and conduct many Southwest District High School Championships.
Looking ahead, we will continue expanding opportunities for juniors by increasing participation in Youth on Course and connecting young golfers to the many pathways our game provides. Like most initiatives that serve the greater good, these efforts rely on continued support. Our foundation remains committed to strengthening youth golf programming so we can continue making both the game and our community better. ⛳️
