We are dedicated to advancing the game through Game Advancement Programs that include philanthropic initiatives such as Youth on Course, Golf, My Future, My Game, The Golf Next Studio, and High School Tournament Support. Additionally, we focus on foundational activities like Course Rating, Handicapping, and Educational Services, while providing meaningful playing opportunities that inspire participation and growth. Together, these efforts ensure the game thrives, evolves, and remains accessible for generations to come.
Miami Valley Golf was founded in 1994, thanks to the leadership of Tony Zirpoli, Jim Sweeney of the USGA, and a group of committed amateur golfers. Ron Wilson served as our first president, followed by Dr. Phil Hughes, who set the standard for strong leadership. Since then, our presidents have included David Novotny, Mike O'Bryan, Charlie Rinehart, Doug Miller, and our incoming president for 2025, Dan Sutherly.
