OUR COMMITMENT

We are dedicated to advancing the game through Game Advancement Programs, including philanthropic initiatives such as Youth on Course, Golf, My Future, My Game, The Golf Next Studio, and High School Tournament Support. We also focus on foundational services like Course Rating, Handicapping, and Educational Services, while creating meaningful playing opportunities that inspire participation and growth. Together, these efforts ensure the game thrives, evolves, and remains accessible for generations to come.

OUR HISTORY

Miami Valley Golf was founded in 1994 thanks to the leadership of Tony Zirpoli, Jim Sweeney of the USGA, and a group of committed amateur golfers. Ron Wilson served as our first president, followed by Dr. Phil Hughes, who set the standard for strong leadership. Since then, our presidents have included David Novotny, Mike O'Bryan, Charlie Rinehart, Doug Miller, and 2025 president Dan Sutherly.

In addition to Miami Valley Golf, we are proud to support and manage:

• The Dayton District Women’s Golf Association (DDWGA): Predating our founding, DDWGA has long championed women’s golf in our area.
• The Miami Valley Masters: Formerly the Dayton Seniors, this organization has roots dating back to the 1940s.
