Dayton finished with 303 points, comfortably ahead of host Columbus (273 points) and defending champion Cincinnati (234 points) to capture the annual competition, one of Ohio's longest-standing and most respected intercity amateur golf traditions.

The Annual Tri-City Matches bring together the top female amateur golfers from Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus in a spirited team competition that celebrates the strength of golf from across the state. Each year, one of the three cities hosts the event, with Columbus serving as this year's host.

The championship was contested at New Albany Country Club, one of central Ohio's premier golf facilities. Since New Albany Country Club opened, the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus design has established itself as a championship-caliber venue, hosting numerous elite amateur competitions. The club is recognized for its outstanding course conditions and challenging layout, providing a fitting test for Ohio's best amateur players.

Each city fielded a 15-player team, with eligibility allowing up to five college-age players who had graduated from high school. Team Cincinnati entered the competition as the defending champion, but Team Dayton delivered a consistent performance throughout the day to earn the title.

Players competed on New Albany's North and East Courses, playing a combined yardage of 5,624 yards. The event utilized a unique three-ball match play format, where each player competed head-to-head against the other two players within their group. Rather than a traditional win-loss scoring system, competitors earned:

• 2 points for a won hole
• 1 point for a tied hole
• 0 points for a lost hole

Points accumulated throughout every match were combined to determine each city's final team score, rewarding depth and consistency across the entire roster.

In addition to the team championship, several Team Dayton players enjoyed individual highlights by capturing skins during the competition. Marisa Alfes, Britt Platt and Ginger Fulton each claimed a skin, with Fulton's memorable hole-out birdie on the ninth hole providing one of the day's most exciting moments.

Team Dayton was led by Captain Kathy Ingersoll, whose squad's balanced play and strong performances across the lineup proved to be the difference in securing the championship. A special thanks to Betsy Reynolds for her support of Team Dayton over the years.

The victory marks another successful chapter in the history of the Annual Tri-City Matches, a competition that continues to showcase outstanding amateur talent while strengthening the relationships between players from Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati. With another memorable edition complete, Team Dayton returns home with the championship trophy and the pride of representing the Miami Valley atop one of the state's premier team competitions.
