1896Piqua Country Club Founded
1897In the Month of March, the company of Crawford, McGregor & Canby, starts producing Golf Clubs 
Dayton Golf Club Founded and located on what is now Oakwood Ave/Brown Street, Potentially on the Patterson Homestead Estate
1898Springfield Country Club Founded

1910May, Dayton Country Club's Clubhouse Opens

1914First Mention of a golf course at Hills and Dales Park, generally referred to as NCR Country Club

1916MacGregor Golf Course Opens (Now MacGregor Park) You can still see some of the fairways as you pass MacGregor Park on Woodman Drive near State Route 35. - See Article from DDN - March 2018 Release    There is some conflicting reports on the establishment year.
1917
1918Community Country Club begins operating upon donation of John Patterson of the Hills and Dales Park to the City of Dayton.
1919Miami Valley GC opens it is designed by Donald Ross
Vin Hilton wins the first Dayton Amateur Championship at Dayton Country Club.
1920Snyder Park Golf Course founded
1921Eaton Country Club founded and designed by "Nipper" Campbell,
Greenville CC founded (Now Turtle Creek)
1922Troy Country Club founded and designed by Tom Bendalow,
Urbana CC founded and designed by P.F. Dye,
Wildwood Golf Club founded
1923Northmoor Golf Club founded in Celina
Echo Hlls Golf Course founded in Piqua
1924Meadowbrook CC founded and is designed by "Nipper" Campbell
Third USGA Amateur Public Links Championship at Community Golf Club

1929Fairmont Golf Course was constructed, design was by "Nipper" Campbell. Fairmont was later renamed  in memory of the Superintendent of Parks, William E. Madden,
Xenia (WGC) Country Club Founded
1930Moraine CC founded and designed by "Nipper" Campbell
1931Miami Valley GC Clubhouse Opens on Sunday, May 24th
Northmoor Golf Club Opens on Sunday, June 7th (Located By Current Day Meadowbrook @ Clayton, north of the Property off of #17)
Bob Jones plays at Miami Valley on Saturday, August 29th
Miami Valley Golf Club hosted the Western Open and won by Ed Dudley with a score of 280, runner up, Walter Hagen

1935Greenmont CC founded (Now Walnut Grove CC)
1936What came to be know as the MacGregor Company sells to the Goldsmith Company in Cincinnati upon the death of the last founding owner Edward Canby

1938Mound Golf Course founded and designed by "Nipper" Campbell

1945Bryon Nelson wins the PGA Championship 4 & 3 over Sam Byrd at Moraine CC
1946On April 1st MacGregor moves to Cincinnati

1949Miami Shores founded and designed by Donald Ross, one of his very last projects
1950Dayton Amateur Golf Association Formed

1953Long time Community GC Professional Harry Schwab wins the PGA Senior Championship at PGA National GC in Dunedin, Florida
1954NCR Country Club Opens two courses and is designed by Dick Wilson - Area Map - Opening Article -

1956Hawk and Kitty Courses Open at Kitthawk Golf Center designed by Robert Bruce Harris, Project Manager was Dick Nugent
1957Lionel Herbert became the last match-play PGA Champion defeating Dow Finsterwald 3 and 1 at Miami Valley Golf Club
1958Browns Run Country Club founded and designed by William and David Gordon
1959Greene CC founded and is designed by William Diddel.
1960Sycamore Creek CC opens and is designed by Jack Ortman - Estimated Opening On Plantation Golf Course on Salem Ave.

1963Reid Park Golf Course closes and becomes part of Clarence J. Brown Reservior,
Twin Base Golf Club opens and designed by William Diddel.
1964Homestead Golf Course founded and designed by William W. Amick,
New Reid Park Golf Course opened and designed by Jack Kidwell,
Long Time Madden Professional, Pete Brown wins the Waco Turner Open, becoming the first African American to win a PGA Tour Sponsored Event.
1965Lakeland Golf Club founded, Eagle Golf Course Open at Kittyhawk Golf Center designed by Robert Bruce Harris, Project Manager was Dick Nugent
1966Estimated Closing On Plantation Golf Course on Salem Ave.
1967Arrowhead Golf Course founded and designed by John Robinson
1968Sugar Valley CC founded and is designed by Jack Kidwell and Mike Hurdzan
1969Ray Floyd wins the PGA Championship at NCR CC's South Course
1970Pete Brown wins the Andy Williams Open

1993Country Club of the North Opens and designed by Jack Nicklaus
1994Formation Meetings for what would become the Miami Valley Golf Association where held.
1995Yankee Trace Golf Club founded and designed by Gene Bates
1996Beavercreek Golf Club founded designed by Fuzzy Zoeller, Barry Sarifin
Greg Lawrence wins the First MVGA Metropolitan Championship
1997
1998John "Spider" Miller wins the USGA Mid Amateur at NCR CC "South Course"
1999Moss Creek Golf Club founded and designed by Denis Griffiths
Karl Heffner wins the First MVGA Senior Metropolitan Championship
Community Golf Course Closed for Remodelling by Barry Serafin
2000Sebastian Hills Golf Course Opens and designed by Steve Burns, Community Golf Course Reopens in June
2001Windy Knoll Golf Club founded and is designed by Brian Huntley
Frank Lickliter II wins the Kemper Open
2002Pete Samborsky wins the MVGA Stroke Play Championship
2003John Schones II wins the first MVGA Match Play Championship
Frank Lickliter II wins the Chrysler Classic of Tucson
2004Jeff Scohy wins the MVGA Match Play Championship, Marty Miller wins the MVGA Stroke Play Championship
2005Rob Davidage wins the MVGA Match Play Championship, Bob Jones wins the MVGA Stroke Play Championship, Alan Doyle wins the US Senior Open at NCR CC, Clay Ogden wins the Amateur Public Links at Shaker Run Golf Club, Doug Gage Wins Senior Metro
