EVENT POLICIES

1. PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

By participating in a Miami Valley Golf event, all players agree to:

  1. Share necessary information including address, phone number, and email address.
    Miami Valley Golf values your privacy and will not share or sell your information to any outside partners. For Miami Valley Golf’s privacy policy, please visit miamivalleygolf.org/privacy-policy-6417.html .
  2. Consent that photographs of the participant may be used in marketing for Miami Valley Golf. The participant fully and unconditionally releases all claims for consideration, copyright infringement, and all other claims of any nature relating to the use of the participant’s entry, name, or likeness.
  3. Adhere to all community health standards and orders and follow applicable recommendations and protocols.
  4. Adhere to all rules as described below.

2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Be an amateur golfer as defined by the United States Golf Association (USGA).
    The USGA defines an amateur golfer as “one who plays golf for the challenge it presents, not as a profession and not for financial gain.” For more information, visit usga.org/rules-of-amateur-status .
  2. No professional golfers are eligible to play in Miami Valley Golf events unless individual entry conditions allow for professional participation.
  3. If an event has net divisions, the player must have a valid USGA Handicap Index issued by a member club of Miami Valley Golf and demonstrate a responsible understanding of their handicap obligations.

  4. Players and caddies must observe proper golf etiquette at all times. Any abuse or disrespect toward competitors, officials, spectators, host facility staff, or other persons may result in disqualification and possible rejection from future Miami Valley Golf events.
    This includes verbal or physical abuse, property damage, or being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during a competitive round.
  5. Players (including exempt players) must complete the online entry process by the published deadline. Each event has a designated field limit, and entries are accepted on a first-come basis unless otherwise noted.
    Late, incomplete, or inaccurate entries will not be accepted.
  6. Prior to the entry deadline, withdrawals should be completed online through the player’s GolfGenius profile to receive an immediate refund, minus a 5% processing fee.
    After the deadline, players should email info@mvgolf.org. If a refund is available, a $25 administrative fee will be deducted.
  7. Willingly and faithfully follow all rules and policies set forth for the event, including the USGA Rules of Golf.
  8. Each entry is subject to review and approval by Miami Valley Golf.
  9. Miami Valley Golf reserves the right to reject an entry at any time.

3. POLICY MODIFICATIONS

Miami Valley Golf reserves the right to alter or amend these policies at any time.
