The Miami Valley Golf Association respects the information provided by our membership and partners. Because we gather certain types of information when our members and partners communicate with us, we believe you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the information we capture and the use of that information.
This privacy statement discloses the type of information we capture about our members and partners, how we use it to communicate with you, and how you can request to no longer receive communications from the Miami Valley Golf Association.
Two primary types of information are gathered:
Financial Information is payment information used for or gathered during the registration process and includes, but is not limited to, credit card numbers, financial institutions, and expiration dates. This information is not used for any purpose other than that for which it is being provided to us, and is used only to the extent necessary for processing the transaction or to facilitate future transactions.
Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, name, address, company name, company address, phone number, fax number, mobile number, and email address, as well as questions answered on survey or registration forms. Data captured during visits to our websites or interactions with partners or members may also be stored in our database for internal use. With consent, information may be shared with other members or partners to facilitate relationships believed to be in the best interest of our membership.
The Miami Valley Golf Association will accept, implement, and maintain any member or partner request to opt out of future communications from the Association or a third party to whom information has been provided. Requests will be implemented within ten (10) days of receipt.
Our websites utilize secure servers to protect your financial and personal information. Secure server software encrypts information transmitted between your browser and our site. We follow strict procedures for the storage and disclosure of information and may request proof of identity before releasing information.
Miami Valley Golf products utilize Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard customer information during online transactions. SSL encryption is the generally accepted standard for online transaction security.
A cookie is a small piece of data sent to your browser to enhance site functionality. Miami Valley Golf uses temporary and persistent cookies to improve site performance and user experience. Cookies do not contain personal or identifying information and cannot access data on your computer.
