The journey to the 126th U.S. Open Championship at
Shinnecock Hills will pass through Springfield Country Club on Monday, June 8,
as the historic venue hosts U.S. Open Final Qualifying for the 17th time. One
of only 13 Final Qualifying sites worldwide and one of two in Ohio, Springfield
will once again welcome an elite field of professionals and amateurs seeking
one of golf's most coveted opportunities. Known throughout the game as "Golf's Longest Day,"
Final Qualifying consists of 36 holes contested in a single day. This year's
Springfield field features 76 competitors, including 39 professionals and 37
amateurs representing six countries and 27 states. The international field
includes players from the United States, South Africa, Mexico, Australia,
England, Italy, and Canada, highlighting the global appeal of the championship. PGA Tour Winners Headline Deep Field Several accomplished PGA Tour veterans will tee it up in
Springfield, bringing a combined 30 PGA Tour victories to the field. Among the favorites is Brandt Snedeker, owner of 10 PGA Tour
victories and a former FedEx Cup Champion. Snedeker begins his day at 8:11 a.m.
