Join us for our annual Season Ending Celebration, on Monday, October 11th at Dayton CC. This event brings together all our associations and provides an opportunity to play in a four (4) person net variable best ball. After play we will celebrate our past year's accomplishments and present our year-end awards. Entry includes, lunch and dinner and the format of play allows teams to consist of either or combined genders.
The winning team each year host the Dr. Philip C. Hughes, Celebration Crystal. Named for Miami Valley Golf’s Second President and donated by Miami Valley Golf Trustees to ensure Phil’s Lifelong love and commitment to the game is forever remembered at his home club Dayton Country Club. Lori Schroeder, Matt Dulli, Brandon Judy, Curt Cranmer, Britt Platt and Pete Betzold (l-r) will represent your MVGA in the 2021 Ohio Intrastate Matches at Moraine CC on Wednesday, October 13th.
First contested in 1999 at the Medallion Club and hosted and founded by the Columbus District Golf Association as a way to bring our State's Amateur Associations together. The Ohio Intrastate Challenge is now being contested for the 19th time. The Intrastate challenge features six players from each association made up of two women mid ams, two men mid ams and two senior men who will play 18 holes of stroke play. The team score will be determined by the best 5 of 6 scores.
The MVGA Team is chosen off of the Player of the Year Points list. The last time the challenge was played was in 2019 at Findley Country Club (hosted by the Toledo District Golf Association) and the team from the Northern Ohio Golf Association won with a team score of 371. To See all Scores.
Since the beginning the CDGA has the most victories with eight, followed by this years host association, MVGA with five, then NOGA with three and the GCGA with two.

Long time advocate for our game, Mike McCall passed on September 7th. Mike was a lifelong member at NCR, served as the General Chair of the 2005 US Senior Open and was active in many golf and sports related organizations.

DDWGA Fall Classic is Tuesday |

The DDWGA Fall Classic Event at Piqua Country Club will be contested this Tuesday September 21st and be a 1:00 pm shotgun start. The format of play is 18 holes of 1 Net and 1 Gross Better Ball Play from the four person team. Teams consisting of four ladies representing the same club will be competing for a traveling trophy to be displayed at their club for the next year. The Low Net and Low Gross Scorers who where also pin winner at their home club will also be recognized. For More Information |
Final Masters Event is monday |
 The Final Masters Event of the 2021 Season is this Monday at Country Club of the North.
The format of play is 18 holes of Low Net and Low Gross within age divisions. After play there is a buffet dinner, cash bar and awards

MVTI is THURSday |
The annual Miami Valley Team Invitational, founded in 1994 by David McSemek, as an event at the end of the season to determine who had the best playing club that year.
This year's invitational is taking place on September 23rd at The Country Club of the North. Teams Competing this year are CCN, Dayton, Moraine, NCR, Piqua, Sycamore Creek, Sugar Valley, Troy, Walnut Grove and WPAFB (Prairie Trace and Twin Base). The format of this year's invitational has teams of 8 players from each club in this 27-hole event. Play includes 9 holes of Best Ball, 9 holes of Alternate Shot, and 9 holes of Singles. At conclusion, the winner will be decided by the lowest aggregate score from all 3 competitions. At the most resent invitational in 2019, it was NCR Country Club who was victorious, beating Country Club of the North by 10 strokes. The last time it was held at the Country Club of the North was in 2015 and it was the tightest finish on record as Sycamore Creek won by just one shot over the teams from NCR and Sugar Valley with CCN finishing just two shots back. The first of the 3 shotguns is at 10am and the final nine is expected to conclude by 6pm. For More Information... |
COLLEGE CORNER 
The Wittenberg men's golf team returned from the Battle at Belterra in Florence, IN. The Tigers brought home both the team and individual titles, with a two-day score of 576 (286-290). Freshman Matthew Mattioli captured individual medalist honors, winning the honor in a seven-hole playoff. Next up is the NCAA Preview at El Campeon Golf Cours & Las Colinas Golf Course at Howie-in-the-Hills, FL this Sunday through Tuesday. The Tiger Ladies are playing today and tomorrow at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational at Fostoria CC
 This past week the UD Men's team came in 3rd at Marshall in the Joe Feaganes Invitational. Hayden Zimmerer and Blake Solomon tied for 6th individually at one under par. They next play in the Davidson River Run Collegiate in N.C., Monday and Tuesday. For More The Ladies Flyers Started their season under new head coach Ali Green this past week by playing in the Youngstown State, Roseann Schwartz Invitational and finished 6th our of 14 teams. Sarah O'Connor finished in a tie for 7th. Next up is the Ball State Cardinal Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
 The Wright State Raiders also played in the Feaganes Marshall Invitational and finished 2nd as a team. Tyler Goecke took home the Medalist honors for the event with his eight under finish. Currently they are playing in the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational at Delaware CC hosted by Ball State. As of 4pm on Friday they had a 14 shot lead over the second place team, in this 13 team event, led by Cole Corder's first round 62. This is a 54 Hole Event wrapping up today. For Scores They play again on Monday and Tuesday in the Valpo Fall invitational where they are the defending champion from when it was last held in 2019. |
