IS YOUR mvga/ghin membership inactive? |
To correspond with the ending of the off season and the beginning of the new golf season our MVGA/GHIN Membership 2020 season closed this past Sunday (March 14) and the 2021 season began this past Monday (March 15) Just what does that mean? If you play at a public facility or are a member of a non real estate club like "eClub" and have not already renewed for the upcoming season your account was placed into an "Inactive Status". To change this status all you need to do is renew at the facility either online or in person. If you are a member at a Private Facility the staff manages this for you, therefore, so no action is needed. TO RENEW |

Trivia Question - With the Masters a Few Weeks Away, Historically, What are the Hardest and Easiest Holes on the Course? Answer - The Hardest Hole is #10 (Camellia) and it plays to an Average score of 4.31, the Easiest Hole is #15 (Firethorn) and it plays to an average score of 4.78. It's important to note that just because the Hole is the Hardest or Easiest from a Par Integrity Standpoint they are not assigned the 1st or 18th Stroke Index on a Scorecard. That Allocation, while changed in 2020 with introduction of WHS takes into account where players of differing abilities need the most help to level their game. For More Information on Stroke Index Allocation |
Rules Question - Why Did Bryson Dechambeau receive relief next to the green when he won at Bay Hill. Answer - While we can't be totally sure, it certainly appears that he took relief because Local Rule F-5 was in effect To View the Model Local Rule This Rule is also in Effect for all our MVGA Events. "The Committee can choose to give an extra relief option under Rule 16.1 when a player’s ball lies in the general area or on the putting green and an immovable obstruction close to the putting green is on the player’s line of play."
