Before his tenure at MVGA, Steve built a strong foundation in golf course management. He served as Head Professional at Glenview Golf Course in Cincinnati from 1995-1997, and at Woodland and Dunham Golf Courses from 1990-1995. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience as an Assistant Professional at Spring Lake Golf Club in New Jersey and Manatee Cove Golf Club in Florida. Recognized as an innovative leader in the golf industry, Steve has played a key role in shaping one of the country’s most dynamic regional golf associations. His strategic vision and commitment to the game have helped grow the sport at both the recreational and competitive levels. As a competitor, Steve has experienced success at local and sectional levels, including strong finishes in national championships. His playing résumé includes multiple appearances in National Club Professional Championships and Nike (now Korn Ferry) Tour events. Upon becoming a senior golfer, he qualified for the National PGA Club Professional Championship, was a sectional medalist, and competed in the U.S. Senior Open. A PGA Member since 1989, Steve served as President of the Southern Ohio PGA from 2001-2003 and was inducted into the Southern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame in 2017. A Dayton-area native from Fairborn, Ohio, Steve has been married to his wife Cathy since 1992. They have two grown daughters, a grandson, and triplet granddaughters and reside in south Dayton.
