Ohio Doubles Champions Crowned at NCR

Cool, misty conditions greeted players at the 2026 Ohio Doubles Championship on Saturday, October 10, as teams competed across four categories on the recently refreshed North Course at NCR Country Club.
Meet the A Division Champions
Women’s:Susie Stein and Julie Tabar secured the championship in a playoff.
Mixed:Britt Platt and Brandon Knutson captured the title at 12 under par.
Senior Men:Ryan McNiece and Jeff Luken won the championship at 4 under par.
Open:Cyle Halbrook and Ryan Hufnagle claimed the Men’s championship at 10 under par.
Next Stop: The National Championship
The four championship teams earned the opportunity to advance to the U.S. Doubles Golf National Championship, October 26–27 at The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida.
About Doubles Golf®
Launched in 2020, Doubles Golf® gives the familiar two-player scramble, also known as “Better Shot,” a structure for leagues and championship competition. Partners each play a shot, select the better result, and continue from that spot until the ball is holed.
Built around nine-hole rounds, the format is well suited to evening leagues and provides a pathway from local play to state and national championships. The program includes Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Senior categories, with the Senior category open to players age 60 and older.
