- Lauren Miller![]() Is the recipient of the 2nd Annual Diana Schwab Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500, has distinguished herself through academic excellence, leadership, and a lifelong passion for golf. A senior at Archbishop Alter High School with a 4.36 GPA, Lauren will attend the University of Dayton to study Business Economics on a Pre-Law track. Golf has been a meaningful part of Lauren’s life since childhood, creating lasting family memories while also teaching her discipline, resilience, and mental strength. Her experiences as both a competitive golfer and caddie at Moraine Country Club have helped shape her confidence and ability to connect with others. Lauren’s commitment to self-improvement and her positive influence on those around her make her an outstanding representative of this scholarship. - Vera Cox![]() Is the recipient of a $750 DDWGA Scholarship, has embraced golf as a pathway for personal growth and perseverance. A homeschooled student maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Vera plans to attend the University of Dayton to pursue a degree in Entrepreneurship. Although relatively new to the game, she has demonstrated remarkable determination and steady progress through countless hours of practice and competition. Her accomplishments on the course, including an even-par round at the Lady Bucc Tournament and participation in the SOPGA Junior League, reflect both her composure and dedication. Vera credits golf with teaching her patience, accountability, and the importance of trusting the process—qualities that continue to guide her in academics, athletics, and everyday life. - Addison Accurso![]() Is the recipient of a $750 DDWGA Scholarship, has turned a late introduction to golf into an inspiring story of determination and achievement. A senior at Tecumseh High School with a 4.167 GPA, Addison will attend Wittenberg University where she plans to major in Sports Management while continuing her golf career. After transitioning from softball and volleyball to golf during high school, Addison quickly immersed herself in the sport through lessons, tournament competition, and her work at Sugar Isle Golf Course. Her relentless drive led to honors including First Team All Conference, First Team All County, and Player of the Year recognition. Beyond her athletic success, Addison has shown maturity, adaptability, and a genuine passion for the game that will continue to serve her well in college and beyond. |
