DDWGA to Honor 2025 Scholarship Recipients at Spring Shamble |
Continuing this proud tradition, the Dayton District Women's Golf Association will present its 2025 scholarship awards to three exceptional junior golfers during a special ceremony following play at the DDWGA Spring Shamble, scheduled for this upcoming Monday, May 12th at Sycamore Creek Country Club. These young women exemplify the very values the DDWGA has championed for nearly three decades—talent, determination, and integrity both on and off the golf course.
Ella Porter Versailles High School → Ohio Northern University Intended Major: Biology (Pre-Physician Assistant) Ella closed her high school golf career as a 2024 Division II OHSAA State Qualifier, finishing 19th overall. She was the MAC Tournament Champion and Player of the Year, demonstrating a in the Miami Valley golf scene. She will pursue a degree in Biology at Ohio Northern University with plans to enter the PA field. Taylor Dunkle Springboro High School → Bellarmine University Intended Major: Biomedical Engineering Taylor is a two-time District Champion (2022, 2024) and 2024 State Qualifier . Her achievements earned her a golf scholarship to Bellarmine University, where she will study biomedical engineering while competing at the collegiate level. Hailey McKenzie Beavercreek High School → Otterbein University Intended Major: Finance/Accounting Hailey earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors (GWOC) in 2024 and finished 9th at the OHSAA District Tournament. She also captured 1st place at the Oakwood Ladies Invitational, highlighting a successful senior season. Hailey will continue her academic and golf journey at Otterbein University. |
