Morgan Rodgers
Youth on Course Coordinator

Rodgers-Morgan-BW-200Morgan Rodgers is a Journalism major in the prestigious Scripps program at Ohio University and a member of the Ohio University Womens Golf Team. With aspirations to write for a golf magazine or news outlet, she combines her love for storytelling with her deep appreciation for the game. Collegiate golf has reinforced the importance of opportunity, presence, and connection—values that have enriched her both on and off the course.

Before attending Ohio University, Morgan played golf at Centerville High School, where she was a four-year member of the team. In 2022, her team won the state championship under the leadership of Coach Mike Dalton, an experience that strengthened her desire to play golf at the collegiate level. High school golf taught her that the relationships built within the sport are far more meaningful than any score or award.

Morgans passion for growing the game started early through her involvement in Youth on Course (YOC), a program she joined around age 10. The opportunity to play affordable rounds with friends fueled her love for golf and gave her a firsthand understanding of the impact YOC can have on junior golfers.

Role at Miami Valley Golf

As the Youth on Course Coordinator, Morgan is responsible for expanding opportunities for junior golfers through YOC programs and other initiatives. She works closely with partner golf courses, grows memberships, and promotes programs that provide subsidized rounds, high school internships, caddie opportunities, and college scholarships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthening Partnerships: Building and maintaining relationships with existing YOC course partners through outreach and site visits.
  • Expanding the Course Network: Identifying and onboarding new partner courses to increase opportunities for junior golfers.
  • Growing Membership: Assisting with membership inquiries and ensuring outstanding service for all YOC participants.
  • Marketing & Social Media: Collaborating on marketing initiatives and outreach strategies to enhance engagement.
  • Event Development: Planning and executing events that promote Youth on Course programs.
  • Content & Education: Writing articles and educational materials on golf topics, including rules, etiquette, and college preparation.

Morgans journey in golf has shaped who she is, and her role with Miami Valley Golf allows her to give back to the game that has given her so much. Through her dedication, she is helping create more opportunities for young golfers, ensuring they have access to the same experiences that fueled her love for the sport.
