INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Proceed to Application

BE_APART_OF_OUR_TEAMDayton, OH –– Each year, Miami Valley Golf offers paid golf administration internships, lasting from three to twelve months depending on the candidate’s availability and funding support from the USGA and other sources. Applicants should be enrolled in or have graduated from a college or university, be a graduate student, or have an interest in Golf Association Management. While a background in golf management, journalism, communications, data management, or photojournalism is an asset, it is not required. A strong interest in golf, a solid work ethic, and knowledge of the game are essential.

Intern responsibilities include championship administration, database management, website maintenance, junior golf programming, and membership activities. Interns also assist with general administrative tasks.

Two of our internships are named in honor of P.J. Boatwright Jr., former Executive Director of Rules and Competitions for the USGA. Through the USGA’s memorial tribute to Boatwright, funding is provided to allied golf associations nationwide, supporting programs in junior golf, public golf, and championship administration. Miami Valley Golf has received this grant annually since 1996.

Since its founding, Miami Valley Golf has grown from eight clubs to more than 50, serving over 12,000 members. Our mission is to lead an inclusive golf community through collaboration, guided by the game’s values — with a commitment to continual improvement, integrity, and respect for all.
