 - This Monday, Moraine Country Club will host the first step on the road to the 125th U.S. Amateur Championship, set to be held August 11–17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California.A full field of 156 amateurs with Handicap Indexes of 0.4 or better from across the United States and Canada will tee it up in this Local Qualifier, each vying for one of 15 spots in the next stage — the Final Qualifying — as part of the journey to the most prestigious championship in amateur golf. Format & Schedule The qualifier will be contested over 18 holes of stroke play, with tee times running in two waves with play starting from both 1 and 10 tee. Morning Wave: 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Volunteer Support & Host Venue An event of this scale wouldn't be possible without the support of the Miami Valley Golf community. Nearly 30 dedicated volunteers will provide on-course scoring and fore caddying. Special thanks to Moraine Country Club, whose commitment to amateur golf continues to be exemplary. The club’s championship pedigree and classic layout will be a great test for all players. |
