- Originally from Elyria,
Ohio, Gip received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Business
Administration/Marketing from the University of Dayton in 1993. He entered the
golf business in 1996 at Penn Terra Golf Course in Lewisburg, Ohio, and held the
role of Head Professional at the facility through 2013. Gip accepted the role
of Assistant Professional at Dayton Country Club in 2014 and then moved to
NCRCC as Lead Assistant Professional in 2020.
Gip has been the Head Coach of the Men's Golf Team at the University of Dayton
since 2009, and has overseen the entire UD Golf Program, both men's and women's
teams, since 2015.
The Southern Ohio PGA has recognized Gip twice for his accomplishments -
Associate Professional of the Year (2005) and Assistant Professional of the
Year (2018).
Gip and his wife, Lori, live in Vandalia and enjoy spending time with family.
Daughters Chelsea (husband Connor, son Mason, age 2½, and daughter Mia, age 1)
and Emily (husband Brian) .
