National Trail captured the OHSAA Southwest District Boys Division III Championship, edging Seven Hills by one stroke to earn a third consecutive trip to the State Championship.

A field of 12 teams and 72 golfers competed at Heatherwoode Golf Club in nearly ideal fall conditions. Following a crisp morning with temperatures in the upper 40s, the day warmed into the low 70s with very little wind. National Trail posted a team score of 330, while Seven Hills finished one stroke back at 331. Both teams advanced to the State Championship.

The victory continues an impressive run for National Trail, which also qualified for the State Championship in 2024 and 2025. Junior Joshua Brubaker led the Blazers with a 2-over-par 73, finishing runner-up in the individual standings.

Seven Hills senior and Team Ohio member Matia Kastner earned medalist honors with the day’s only under-par round, firing a 1-under 70. His performance helped Seven Hills secure the second and final team berth.

Minster senior Max Voisard claimed the first individual qualifying position with a 5-over 76. The final berth came down to a four-player playoff among Cincinnati Country Day freshman Griffin Long, Cedarville senior Xavier Pauling, Dayton Christian senior Braden Fleming and Russia freshman Oliver Armstrong after all four shot 78. Long prevailed on the third playoff hole to advance to State.
