![]() Trailing behind Simms were Shane Ochs, Logan Menning, and Oscar Zimmerman, each completing their opening round with a score of three under, 68. Two of our former champions, Jeff Scohy and Peter Samborsky, each came in with an even-par 71. All told there were 9 scores under par and 14 scores at even par or better. The hardest hole was the par four #16 with a +.82 scoring avg and it only yielded 2 birdies. The easiest hole was the par 5, #9 hole and the field averaged .19 under par for the hole with 2 eagles and 31 birdies. The average score for the day was 76.3 After Friday’s Round the field will be cut to 32 and ties for the final 36 Holes of play over the weekend.
