Junior Golf Camps (ages 5-12)

Junior golf camps are a great introductory to the game. Many camps are a week long or a couple hours one day a week over a couple week period. Most are geared towards younger ages (about 5-12). Below is a list of camps offered right here in the Miami Valley!

Get a Girl Golfing Founder and Matriarch was tragically killed on May 8th, 2013.  To honor her memory, her commitment to junior girls and golf, the DDWGA will continue on with Get a Girl Golfing to honor Diana's legacy. This FREE event is intended to introduce young ladies to the game of golf in a fun non threatening introductory manner. Clubs will be provided if you do not have your own.  Lunch will also be provided.

first_tee_GMV_12020 Life Skills Experience Program (ages 5-18)


First Tee uses golf to teach youth life lessons and leadership skills. Sessions include a fun, group setting for youth ages 5 to 18 regardless of background or previous experience. Teaming up with experts in positive youth development, The First Tee helps youth become good golfers and even better people. 


First Tee emphasizes Nine Core Values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment. Through golf and our core values, your kids and teens will learn life skills. 


From age 5 through 18, youth progress through different levels by demonstrating First Tee Nine Core Values, life and golf skills as well as passing an assessment. All participants regardless of age start at the PLAYer level. The pinnacle of The First Tee is completing Ace. Click the links below to see more information (dates, locations, prices, ect.)


Tiny Tees (ages 5-6) – Drills and games introducing the game of golf and First Tee’s Nine Core Values & Nine Healthy Habits.

PLAYer (required minimum age 7) – Tee up for the first time and learn the game of golf and First Tee’s Code of Conduct.

Par (recommended minimum age 9) – Focus on interpersonal and self-management skills on and off the course.

Birdie (recommended minimum age 11) – Emphasis on setting goals and making them a reality.

Eagle (recommended minimum age 13) – Learn resilience, conflict resolution, and future planning.

Ace (required minimum age 14 or entering 9th grade) – Put it all together and hone in on setting goals, career education, and giving back to the community.

Girls Golf (ages 6-17)

LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf) is the only national junior golf program that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments for juniors to learn the game of golf. We’re the experts in making the game of golf fun, and we teach more than just stance and swing; we teach girls valuable life skills like confidence and perseverance. Each of our 500 Girls Golf sites help prepare girls ages 6 – 17 for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game.

Pee Wee Camp (Age 6-9)– Designed for the junior who is getting started in golf. We will incorporate the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment along with traditional clubs. This camps purpose is to introduce golf to kids in a fun and positive environment. 

Cost: $20 first registered kid, $15 for each additional kid 

Session 1: July 13th-15th 10:30 AM-11:15 AM 

Session 2: Aug. 3rd-5th 10:30 AM-11:15 AM 

*Kids aged 5 who are able to sit through a camp may register for Pee Wee

Youth Camp (Age 8-14): Designed for the junior who is learning the game and is looking to develop their skills. The camp will focus on having fun while introducing golf fundamentals, etiquette, and rules of the game. 

Cost: $25 first registered kid, $20 for each additional kid

Session 2: Aug. 3rd-5th 8:45 AM-10:00 AM

*Advanced kids younger than 8 may register for Youth Camp if appropriate

PGA Junior Golf Camp

Half Day Camps (Age 7-13) are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf's fundamentals while having fun!

Cost: $225 - $295

Session 1: June 16 - June 19

Session 2: July 7 - July 10

Session 3: July 21 - July 24

Session 4: Aug. 4 - Aug. 7

Full Day Camps (Age 9-16) provide an opportunity for intermediate to advanced junior golfers to continue to improve their skills as well as develop better course management expertise. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their ability level and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. Following lunch, campers head to the course for supervised play emphasizing course management, shot selection and rules.

Cost: $425 - $525
