 Presented by Dayton Freight annually since 2006 our Player of the Year recognizes the the best male golfer in our area. This year our Player of the Year is Jeff Scohy. Jeff accumulated 600 points clearing outdistancing the second place finisher Pete Samborsky by over 200 points. Jeff won the Inaugural Miami Valley Mid Amateur by 8 shots, was the 4th highest ranked player in our state over the last 2 years which selected him as a representative for the State of Ohio in the USGA State Team Championship where he finished in tied for 31st. Jeff also finished 3rd in the Ohio Mid Amateur, 2nd in the MVGA Metropolitan and advanced through the Local Qualifying for the US Open this past May. This is Jeff's 3rd Player of the Year Award having been awarded the honor in 2012 & 2008. |
