![]() Rounding out the Top Five, after three rounds are Davis Root at 9 under par in third position and tied for fourth is Defending Champion, Bryce Haney and Xenia Native, and Xavier Golfer, Mason Witt at 7 under par. The Golf Course softened a bit after the 2 hour and 20-minute weather delay from 11:10 to 1:30 and it became more receptive as it gave up twelve under par rounds, over a third of the remaining field. The hardest hole on Saturday was Par 4, 18th Hole, and the easiest hole was Hole # 6 which was pushed way up and played at just shy of 300 yards, it averaged almost a half shot under par with the field average of 3.53 Lip Outs – Contrary to the report in yesterday’s recap, Bryce Haney’s Double Eagle on #8 during yesterday’s second round was not the only known Double Eagle in Metropolitan History. Our 2017 Champion, Josh Gilkison, also made a Double Eagle, holing his second shot, on Hole #4 during his second round, when he won in 2017. What was not a lip out, was Bryce Haney’s Double Eagle, as it was part of a three-player group score of 9 on the Par Five. Joining Bryce’s Double Eagle, (2) was an Eagle Three (3) from Incoming Raider, Shane Ochs, and the 2010 Champion, Jeff Scohy, who made a birdie (4) for group total score six under par nine (9) on the Par Five. Play starts tomorrow at 7:30 with our leaders teeing off at 9:20. Spectators are welcome to attend!
