| Mike “OB” O’Bryan, born on April 9, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on October 12, 2024, in Hendersonville, NC, after spending his entire life in Dayton. A devoted student and athlete, he was a 1965 graduate of Chaminade High School, a 1969 graduate of The Ohio State University, and a 1974 graduate of the University of Dayton. His passion for golf led him to attend Ohio State on a Western Golf Association Evans Foundation scholarship. Mike dedicated many years to the Miami Valley Golf Association, eventually serving as its President from 2005 to 2010. During his presidency, he was instrumental in enhancing the Course Rating & Tournament Volunteer Program. He also served as a USGA Committeeman for eight years, contributing significantly to the sport he loved. A memorial service is being planned.
