History |
The Dayton Amateur Golf Hall of Fame began in 1978 when the first four golfers were inducted into the Hall. Other inductions were made in 1979, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1989, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2009, 2011, and 2013. Sixty-four men and women are part of the exclusive group. |
General Information |
The Dayton Golf Commission is planning to induct new members into the Hall of Fame this year. Candidates shall be persons from the local area, who have made outstanding contributions to the game of golf, either locally or on the state or national level. The contribution may either be in the area of meritorious service or superior performance. Nominees must have, or have had, an association with a Dayton area golf course. Nominees should exhibit outstanding character and integrity. |
How Nominees are Received |
Candidates may be nominated by anyone in the Dayton area. Forms for nominations will be available at each of the City of Dayton's golf courses, other courses in the area and online at www.golf-dayton.com. Forms must be signed by the person(s) making the nomination and other pertinent information. Forms and other documentation may be submitted or mailed to:

Selection Approval |
The Hall of Fame Committee will be responsible for the selection of inductees and the names of the finalists are submitted to the Golf Commission for approval. |
Induction Ceremony & Golf Outing |
Inductees, their families and friends will be honored at an Induction Ceremony held Kittyhawk Golf Center, home of the Dayton Amateur Golf Hall of Fame. |
