Miami Valley Golf Club will host one of the strongest U.S. Senior Open Final Qualifying fields in it's history on Monday, June 1, as former PGA TOUR winners, PGA TOUR Champions players, nationally recognized amateurs and top PGA professionals compete for a place in the 2026 U.S. Senior Open Championship. The field includes major names such as Ben Crane, Mark Wilson, Ken Duke, Brandt Jobe, Bob Sowards and numerous accomplished Ohio and regional players, creating what promises to be one of the premier senior golf events in the Midwest this year. Hamilton in the Spotlight

Golf has become a central part of Jim's retirement, combining competition, travel and community involvement. A Miami Valley Golf volunteer for the past two years, Jim is also an active member at both Mound Golf Course and Yankee Trace, where he and his partner have won their league twice.

Away from the course, Jim serves as a trustee at his church and enjoys woodworking, Ohio State football, Bengals football and Dayton basketball. He and his wife have also turned their love of golf into a nationwide journey, with a goal of playing in all 50 states. They have already completed 35 and plan to add Washington, Alaska and Hawaii later this year.

Thanks for being our May Volunteer in the Spotlight!
