2nd Scholar Announced
The DDWGA recognizes Addison Accurso as our next DDWGA Scholarship recipient! Addison attends Tecumseh High School and will continue both her academic and golf career at Wittenberg University, where she plans to study Sports Management.

Despite only taking up golf during high school, Addison quickly developed into one of the area’s top players. Her accomplishments include earning First Team CBC honors in both 2024 and 2025, qualifying for sectionals in 2024 and 2025, being named the 2025 Clark County Player of the Year and CBC Player of the Year, and setting the 18-hole all-time low score at Tecumseh High School.

For Addison, golf has become much more than a sport. It has taught her perseverance, mental toughness, and confidence while helping her grow both on and off the course. She looks forward to continuing her development as both a student and athlete at Wittenberg University.
Addison will be presented her scholarship at the DDWGA Shamble this Monday at Troy

Fore Kids
This Monday, Southern Ohio PGA Professionals will gather at Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club for the return of the Play Yellow Birdie Bash, the Section’s flagship fundraising event supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. What started in 2021 has grown into a major charitable effort, surpassing $1 million in total giving in 2025 and expanding into year-round impact through initiatives like Smiling Fore Life, which brings golf directly to children in local hospitals. The event challenges teams to play 72 holes in a single day, turning birdies into meaningful contributions that support youth programs, veterans through PGA HOPE, and broader community outreach across Southern Ohio. With strong partnerships and growing momentum, Birdie Bash continues to build on its mission—making a lasting difference for children and families throughout the region.
