With all 2026 OHSAA golf Sectionals complete, Miami Valley Golf has developed a statewide report examining results from all 85 tournaments across Ohio’s six districts. The analysis covers 5,485 listed golfers and 1,901 advancing places, representing an overall advancement share of 34.7%. It includes average and median individual scores, each sectional’s low golfers and best teams, and comparisons of qualification rates by district and division.
The results reveal meaningful differences in access to District play. In Boys Division II, the share of golfers advancing ranged from 25.7% in Northeast to 39.6% in Central. Girls Division II ranged from 26.9% in Northeast to 48.5% in East. The report also separates team advancement from individual qualification, providing a clearer picture of the two routes through the tournament.
Scoring depth offers another important perspective: 58 Boys Division I golfers recorded scores below 80 and did not advance. While these results provide useful starting points for discussions about competitive balance and qualifying opportunities, course difficulty, weather and playing conditions must be considered before drawing conclusions about district talent.

Once all District Championships are complete, we will develop a similar statewide report examining District scoring, competitive depth and advancement to the State Championships.
