Springfield Northwestern captured the OHSAA Southwest District Girls Division II Sectional Championship, leading a field of 10 teams and 58 golfers at WGC Golf Course.
Playing under sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s, Springfield Northwestern posted a team score of 382 to earn the championship. Greenon finished second at 415, followed by Valley View at 436 and Urbana at 437. All four teams advanced to the District Championship.
Middletown Christian freshman Christina Morris earned medalist honors with a 2-over-par 74. Her teammate, senior Karsyn Meier, and Springfield Northwestern senior Cadence Monroe-McCoy finished one stroke behind after rounds of 75.
Morris and Meier led the four individual qualifiers advancing from non-qualifying teams. They were joined by Graham Local junior Bayla Moffitt, who shot 90, and Waynesville junior Reese Williams, who secured the final individual berth with a 94.

The qualifying teams and individuals will advance to the Girls Division II District Championship on Wednesday, September 30, at Heatherwoode Golf Club. Grounds passes may be purchased through the OHSAA ticketing website.
