Centerville captured the OHSAA Southwest District Girls Division I Sectional Championship, leading a field of 19 teams and 86 golfers at Echo Hills Golf Course.

Playing under sunny skies, light winds and temperatures in the mid-70s, Centerville posted a team score of 342 to secure a commanding victory. Bellbrook finished second at 393, followed closely by Kettering Fairmont at 394 and Wayne at 395. All four teams advanced to the District Championship.

Bellbrook senior Alina Shroyer earned medalist honors with a 4-over-par 76, finishing two strokes ahead of Greenville freshman Piper Jenkinson, who recorded a 78. Wayne junior Taylor Stringfield placed third individually with a 79, while Centerville senior Sofia Baldridge followed with an 83.

Jenkinson led the four individual qualifiers advancing from non-qualifying teams. She was joined by Oakwood junior Nicole Maroz and Piqua senior Haylie Schultz, who each shot 92.

The final qualifying position required extra holes after Butler freshman Lexi Hayes and Tippecanoe senior Bristol Kovaleski finished tied at 93. Hayes secured the final District berth on the second playoff hole.
