Monday is the US Sr Open Final Q.

One of the strongest fields of any U.S. Senior Open Final Qualifying site will tee off Monday at Miami Valley Golf Club, competing for 10 spots in the 2026 U.S. Senior Open Championship. The championship will be contested July 2–5 at Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.

The field features numerous accomplished players, including competitors with victories on both the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions, along with some of the top senior amateurs in the country.

Tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue through 1:24 p.m. Spectators are welcome, and admission is free.

The Pathways to Performance clinic is a can’t-miss opportunity designed exclusively for high school golfers who are ready to take their game to the next level. Led by LPGA Tour Professional Jessica Porvasnik, this hands-on experience on June 29, 2026, at Springfield Country Club (3–5 PM) offers more than just instruction -- it’s a chance to learn directly from someone who’s competed at the highest level and knows what it takes to succeed.

US Open Final in Next Monday!

The road to Shinnecock runs through Springfield Country Club on Monday, June 8, as the club hosts U.S. Open Final Qualifying for the 17th time, welcoming a talented field for Golf's Longest Day (36-hole qualifier.)

The field features a mix of PGA Tour winners, major championship competitors, rising stars, and top amateurs from across the globe.

Players Expected to Compete

  • Tony Finau – Six-time PGA Tour winner and five-time U.S. Open competitor.
  • Billy Horschel – Eight-time PGA Tour winner and 2014 FedEx Cup Champion.
  • Brandt Snedeker – Ten PGA Tour victories and a former FedEx Cup Champion.
  • Taylor Pendrith – PGA Tour winner and recent top-five finisher in the PGA Championship.
  • Cameron Davis – Two-time Rocket Mortgage Classic champion and Presidents Cup participant.
  • Aldrich Potgieter – One of the game's longest hitters and a recent PGA Tour winner.
  • Neal Shipley – Former low amateur at both the Masters and U.S. Open.
  • Nick Hardy, Zac Blair, and Robert Streb add even more PGA Tour experience to a deep professional field.

Local and Regional Storylines

  • Ohio natives Austin Greaser, Maxwell Moldovan, TJ Kreusch, Andrew Dorn, and AJ Wilhelm will look to advance on familiar turf.
  • Defending Springfield qualifier medalist Grant Haefner returns after earning medalist honors here a year ago.

Krebs & Kreusch Co-Medalists
Ethan Krebs and Matthew Kreusch shared medalist honors at the Ohio Amateur Qualifier held Tuesday on the South Course at NCR Country Club, each carding a 2-under-par 69. A total of 26 players earned spots in the championship field, with the qualifying cutoff landing at 3-over par. The successful qualifiers will advance to the 120th Ohio Amateur Championship, scheduled for July 20–24 at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.

Ohio Women's Open Week!
The Southern Ohio PGA will host the 2026 Ohio Women’s Open at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro on June 5-6, 2026. After nearly two decades at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Defiance, the championship entered a new era when the Southern Ohio PGA acquired the event in 2023 and relaunched it at Heatherwoode in 2024. The tournament boasts a distinguished list of champions, including three-time winner and Ohio State Women’s Golf Head Coach Lisa Strom, former Ohio State standout Jessica Porvasnik, former University of North Carolina golfer Allie White, and 2024 champion Madison Reemsnyder. Defending champion Gabby Woods is expected to return in 2026 to defend her title and compete against another strong field of professional and amateur players.

Ohio Senior Open Recap
In the 41st Ohio Senior Open at Firestone Country Club this past week, several area players deliver strong performances. Leading the way was Beavercreek Golf Club's Joe Moore, who posted rounds of 68-66 to finish as runner-up. In the Amateur Division, Pete Samborsky earned a third-place finish while John Fryman placed fourth against a talented statewide field. The championship was won by Stephen Gangluff, who captured the title in his first Ohio Senior Open appearance.
