- The 2025 Ohio Women’s Open is set to take place at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio, on June 6-7, 2025, marking the second year of the event's rebirth under the Southern Ohio PGA’s leadership. A fundraising Pro-Am will precede the championship on June 5, offering an exciting opportunity for community engagement. Previously hosted at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Defiance for nearly two decades, the event transitioned to Heatherwoode in 2024, with past champions including three-time winner and current Ohio State Women’s Golf Head Coach Lisa Strom, as well as standout players like Jessica Porvasnik and Allie White. The 2024 champion, Madison Reemsnyder of Xavier University, will look to defend her title in a competitive field. The early June date aims to attract a strong roster of participants, and local volunteers can get involved in roles such as score collection, player registration, and on-course assistance. Partnership opportunities are also available, with interested parties encouraged to contact Southern Ohio PGA Executive Director Patrick Salva for more details.
