Director of Rules and Competitions

Announcing_Position - Miami Valley Golf is seeking a dedicated and skilled Director of Rules and Competitions to oversee the administration and execution of our tournaments, rules education, and handicapping support. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of our events, which include USGA qualifiers, Championships, Social and Ohio High School qualifiers. The Director will be responsible for a range of tournament logistics, including pre-tournament site visits, course setup, player pairings, and on-site management. Additionally, they’ll work closely with volunteers and support Miami Valley Golf clubs in using Golf Genius software for tournament management. Strong communication skills and experience in golf tournament administration are essential, along with a USGA Rules certification (or willingness to obtain one). 

In addition to tournament responsibilities, the Director will be instrumental in promoting the rules of golf by coordinating association-conducted seminars and responding to inquiries from players and clubs. This position requires flexibility, as it involves travel throughout the region and work on some weekends and evenings.
