Our 2025 event schedule |
- As we look ahead to the 2025 golf season, an exciting lineup of events promises to set the stage for another unforgettable year. Kicking off the action is the traditional Spring Better Ball, hosted on both the North and South Courses at NCR Country Club on Monday, April 28th. This signature event brings golfers together for competitive play at one of the region’s premier venues, setting the tone for the year ahead. The season’s first Masters Event will follow on Monday, May 5th, at Troy Country Club, offering players another opportunity to showcase their skills. Then, on May 12th, Sycamore Creek will host the first Ladies event of the year, a Shamble format tournament. That same evening, the Scholar Presentation Banquet will celebrate the achievements of outstanding young female golfers in the region. Adding to the excitement, 2025 introduces a new two-stage format for the U.S. Senior Open Qualifying, mirroring the structure of the U.S. Open. Piqua Country Club will host the Final Stage of this prestigious event on Monday, May 19th. The following week, the North Course at NCR welcomes competitors for the Ohio Amateur Qualifier on Tuesday, May 27th, leading into another marquee event—the Final Stage of U.S. Open Qualifying, hosted at Springfield Country Club on Monday, June 2nd. On June 9th, the 3rd Annual 100 Hole Hike returns to Miami Valley Golf Club. In partnership with Youth on Course supporters worldwide, participants take on the formidable challenge of playing 100 holes of golf to raise funds ensuring young people have affordable access to the game and its life-changing opportunities. While there’s no entry fee, hikers or teams are encouraged to secure pledges of at least $500 using Youth on Course’s donor platform. The summer heats up with a Masters Event at the Original Dye Course at Urbana Country Club on June 16th, followed by the Local Stage of U.S. Amateur Qualifying at Moraine Country Club on June 23rd. The month concludes with the Ladies Twin Best Ball Event at Walnut Grove on June 30th. After a brief break for the 4th of July, the action resumes at Walnut Grove on Thursday, July 10th, where ladies will vie for spots in the Women’s U.S. Amateur. This qualifier has produced national champions like Jensen Castle (2021) and Sophia Schubert (2017). The next week, from July 24th-27th, the 103rd Metropolitan Championship returns to Windy Knoll Golf Club for the first time since 2010, when Jeff Scohy claimed victory. July concludes with the inaugural Doubles Championship on Monday, July 28th at Miami Valley Golf Club. This unique two-person scramble offers divisions for varied skill levels, with winners potentially qualifying for play at Muirfield Village in September. As August begins, the Tri-City Matches will likely take place on Tuesday, August 5th, hosted by Cincinnati. The Masters will visit Country Club of the North on Monday, August 11th, followed by the Ladies Classic at Sugar Valley on Monday, August 18th. The month wraps up with the 5th Annual One Eye Open, benefiting Youth on Course, at Moraine Country Club. September launches with the Senior and Mid-Am Metropolitan Championships at Country Club of the North on Tuesday and Wednesday after Labor Day. The 31st Miami Valley Team Invitational follows at Springfield Country Club on Thursday, September 11th, with the season’s grand finale—the Annual Celebration Event—hosted at Dayton Country Club on Monday, September 15th.
