| Don Kazyak |
| -Don Kazyak’s love for golf began in the sixth grade when his grandfather first introduced him to the game. From those early days, golf quickly became a lifelong passion. He fondly remembers practicing by hitting chip shots in the backyard and the excitement of making his very first birdie as an eighth grader on a golf course in Orange, Connecticut. Those experiences sparked a deep appreciation for the game that has remained with him throughout his life. During high school, Don continued to develop his skills both as a player and as a caddie. He proudly played second man on his 1970 high school golf team, gaining valuable experience and strengthening his connection to the sport. Following high school, Don dedicated himself to serving his country through a distinguished career in the United States Air Force. Alongside his military service, he built a strong family life and has been married for 52 years. Together with his wife, he raised three children and now enjoys the blessing of seven grandchildren. In 1987, Don and his family made Centerville their home, where he remained an active and valued member of the community. For the past seven years, Don has volunteered with Miami Valley Golf, combining his passion for the game with a desire to give back. Volunteering has provided him with the unique opportunity to experience golf played at a high level while contributing to a sport that has meant so much to him throughout his life. Don believes volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to stay connected to golf, meet great people, and support the continued growth of the game he loves. |
