- It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Dempsey, a cherished member of our golf community. Born November 13, 1955, Mike was a graduate of Archbishop Alter High School and a longtime resident of Dayton, Ohio. He passed away on February 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in the game and deep friendships within the Miami Valley golf community.

Mike was an accomplished golfer, having won numerous area events and championships throughout his playing career. His skill on the course was matched only by his sportsmanship and love for the game. Beyond his success in competition, Mike was a valued friend, mentor, and ambassador for golf in the region.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Routsong Funeral Home in Kettering (corner of Woodman and Stroop Road). A private burial will take place on Tuesday, March 11.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Mike's family and friends during this difficult time. His legacy will live on in the courses he played, the friendships he built, and the inspiration he provided to all who knew him.
