Ohio Amateur Qualifier |
- The 117th Ohio Amateur Qualifier was held at NCR Country
Club's North Course, where a score of three over par secured one of the highly sought-after
26 spots in this year's Ohio Amateur tournament. The Ohio Amateur will take
place at Canterbury Golf Club from July 10th to 14th. Among the 142 players who
competed on the firm and fast links, only one player, Daniel Heister from
Mason, managed to finish under par with a score of one under par 69. Throughout the day, the easiest hole was the par 5 12th, which averaged just 0.03 over par. On the other hand, the toughest hole was the 5th hole, where the average score was over half a shot above par. Overall, the average score for the day was 77.84 over the par 70 layout. This average includes one round under par and five rounds at even par. Notably, Logan Menning achieved a hole-in-one on the 184-yard third hole, which was one of four eagles recorded during the tournament. We would like to extend our gratitude to NCR Country Club for hosting the qualifier and for their contributions to the game of golf. We also appreciate the efforts of our more than 30 volunteers who will assist with the championship qualifier, as well as all the players who will strived to qualify for the event. |
