Example 1: 

This Course Handicap Example is being calculated for All 18 holes. 


The example Handicap index is 27.7. 


This player is on the White tee, the slope is 129, the rating is 71.1 and the par is 72. 


The Course Handicap is calculated as index * slope / 113 = 27.7 * 129 / 113 = 31.622.... The CR - P adjustment of 71.1 - 72 = -0.9 is applied. The resulting Course Handicap is 30.722.... 
 
The handicap adjustment percentage of 85.0% is applied. The Playing Handicap becomes 26.113.... After rounding, the Playing Handicap is 26. 

 


Example 2: 

The Course Handicap is being calculated for All 18 holes. 


The initial index is 7.9. 


This player is on the White tee, the slope is 129, the rating is 71.1 and the par is 72. 


The Course Handicap is calculated as index * slope / 113 = 7.9 * 129 / 113 = 9.018.... The CR - P adjustment of 71.1 - 72 = -0.9 is applied. The resulting Course Handicap is 8.118.... 


The handicap adjustment percentage of 85.0% is applied. The Playing Handicap becomes 6.900.... After rounding, the Playing Handicap is 7.
