Groff and Fisher Top the Field at Season’s First Masters Event at Troy Country Club

Masters_1- The 2025 Masters season teed off on Monday, May 5, at Troy Country Club, where players battled through overcast and dreary conditions to compete in the season’s first event. Despite the challenging weather, the tournament featured strong performances and a great turnout.

Ryan Groff led the field with the lowest gross score, firing a 3-under-par 67. His consistent play and ability to navigate the course in difficult conditions earned him top honors for the day.

In the net division, David Fisher emerged as the leader, also posting a net 67 to claim the lowest net score title.

Course conditions added an extra layer of challenge, with several holes proving especially tough. The 14th hole was the most difficult of the day, followed closely by Hole 1 and Hole 18. On the other hand, players found some relief at Hole 10, which played as the easiest, followed by Holes 4 and 15.

The event was made possible thanks to the warm hospitality of the Troy Country Club members and staff. Special recognition goes to Superintendent Noah Ervin, Front House Manager Courtney Salvo, and Head Golf Professional Travis Mumma, PGA, for their dedication and support in hosting a successful kickoff to the Masters series.

Players who finished well earned merchandise credit in the Troy CC Golf Shop, which is available to be used through the end of October.

The next stop on the 2025 Masters schedule is set for Monday, June 16th at Urbana Country Club.  Register Here
