- On Monday, September 16, Miami Valley Golf had the privilege of honoring Doug Miller at Dayton Country Club. Doug’s remarkable journey in support of the game began in 2001 when he first became a Course Rater. Not long after, he took on the role of Men’s Course Rating Chair, where he transformed our rating teams into what many consider some of the best in the nation.

In the early 2010s, Doug joined the Executive Committee, eventually serving as President in 2018. His leadership and dedication over the past 20+ years have been instrumental in advancing the mission of our Association. Doug has devoted much of his retirement to supporting the game we all love.

Doug was joined by his wife, Pam, and their son, Kyle, for this special evening. In recognition of his outstanding contributions as his term as President comes to a close, Miami Valley Golf is proud to announce that the Male Course Rater Award will now and forever be known as the Douglas H. Miller Award.

We are grateful for Doug's unwavering commitment to the game and the lasting impact he has made on our Association.
