|Association Assistant Director|
Dave’s career in golf began at Kittyhawk Golf Course in 2000 working in the golf shop and as the Tournament Director for the Men’s Golf Association. From 2004-2012 he served as the second assistant at The Hamilton Elks Golf Club learning all aspects of becoming a golf professional at the club level. In 2012 he moved to Clovernook Country Club in North College Hill as their Lead Assistant Professional in charge of golf operations, staff management, and budgeting.
An accomplished teacher, utilizing the Trackman 4 technology, Dave was Clovernooks lead instructor of the club’s Player Development Program and Junior Programs. His ability for making students feel relaxed and comfortable while learning the structure and basic motions of the swing has benefited players of all skill sets. His philosophy of excelling from 100 yards and closer to the pin has helped lower many of his student’s scores.
On the high school level Dave has led the LaSalle Lancers, competing in the Greater Catholic League South, for the past four seasons as their Head Golf Coach. Sharing his tournament experiences along with his approach to event preparation has helped rebuild the Lancers program becoming a perennial contender in the demanding southwest district.
Dave’s playing career was filled with mixed results in both local and regional events. It is while competing in these professional events that Dave developed a passion for providing a tour like experience for each contestant to enjoy while playing in his tournaments.
Dave was born and raised in Dayton having attended Wilbur Wright High School, Sinclair Community College, and Eastern Kentucky University. He and his wife Barb have been married since 2001 and are proud parents of two children, Patrick and Madeleine, along with one granddaughter Addisyn.
