Dayton dominates Tri-City |
It was all Dayton all day at the Miami Valley Golf Club. |
This year's Tri-City Tournament featured a young Dayton team accompanied by veterans of the event. Cincinnati's captain Janie Klare, Columbus' Nancy Battista-Allen, and Dayton's Madison Musick were their teams respective leaders. |
Musick and Klare both shot even par 71 to start the day. The top point earner of the day was Grace Nikolai of Dayton putting up 28 points for her team. The average total earned by a Dayton team member was 23 1/2 points. |
Cincinnati edged Columbus for the second place spot by 6 1/2 points. Cincinnati's top finisher Klare helped her team reach 232 points. Amy Debonis and Kathy White, both of Columbus, put up 22 points each for their team. |
Other top finishers included Mickaela Hadaway (27 1/2 points) and Allie Lawwill (27 points) of Dayton. Next year's Tri-City Tournament will be held in Cincinnati at the beautiful Maketewah Country Club. |
