2021 Dayton Metropolitan Championship @ Yankee Trace GC
The Dayton Amateur, now commonly referred to as the Metropolitan, began in 1919 when it was first contested at Dayton Country Club.  Through the years many different people have run the championship, but beginning in 1996 the Miami Valley Golf Association took over Stewardship of the Championship.

This year's championship is taking place at Yankee Trace Golf Club (Heritage & Legend) on July 22-25. Yankee Trace will play as a par-72 and will play just over 7000 yards.

The field for the tournament will consist of some of the best amateurs in the area but the champion from 2019 & 2020, Austin Schoonmaker, has turned professional and will not be able to compete in the championship again this year.
