Local Courses Adapt to keep Golfers Safe |
Something positive to help you pivot away from this chaos. Spring is upon us and golf is an outdoor sport and from all appearances our facilities are putting plans in place to ensure you can safely use their facilities and enjoy our great OUTDOOR sport.
Like anything that is new and unknown we must all be open for a few adjustments in our traditional golf experience. Facilities will try and limit the amount of personal contact by moving away from cash transactions, reducing food and beverage interactions and other recommended ways to avoid spread of this virus.
Be safe, practice mindful techniques to protect others and yourself and know that from all indications a golf course is a pretty safe place to be!
Enjoy our coming Spring and all the great things our Game can Provide!
See you on the Links!

Golf Score Posting Season Starts Tomorrow |
March 15th signals the start of the New Score Posting Season in the Miami Valley. Here are a few things to remember when it comes to NOT posting your score. All other times you should!
So, don't post your score....
- When your score can’t be verified by another person
- While being coached on the course
- When you play using non-conforming clubs, non-conforming balls, or non-conforming tees;
- When you don't play the required number of holes, Less than 6 for 9, less than 14 for 18, (Post 9), For the holes you haven’t played, you post net par for the hole.
- & when you are not playing your own ball — scrambles, shambles or foursomes (alternate shot.)
 And remember...A key tenet of the World Handicap System is that it is based on the fact that a you will try to make the best score at every hole in every round. So you post just about everything and that includes scores when you play Preferred Lies! |

Visual System Part 2 |
Visualization is a powerful tool, both positively and negatively. Can you visualize the putt dropping in the cup, or missing? Can you visualize your shot shape? Can you visualize your alignment? How accurate is your visualization? Visualization is the process of creating internal mental images, largely with the mind and partly with the eyes. While this is mostly a “mental” skill your visual system still plays a small role. You can only visualize images as well as you can see them with your eyes. If your eyes are out of focus then your mind will be out of focus. These visualization skills are developed through age and, like other skills, some people develop visualization skills better than others. The good news is these skills can be practiced and improved but understanding whether or not your are a good visualizer and how it affects your game is just as important.
