Masters Contest Open

With next week being the Masters' Week. A special November Edition of the 17th MVGA Masters Contest, annually presented by our friends at Mercedes Benz of Centerville will have a little change in format but all the prizes as before.

Selections have you making one pick from each group. The best final score in each match-up wins. Ties within a group will both win points (eg if Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm both finish at -5, low for their group, then either selection would be awarded its corresponding points).

Selections must be submitted by 6AM ET, this Thursday, November 12!

NEW! USGA Rules INTRODUCTORY Course - REGistration Begins TUESDAY

Beginning this Tuesday, November 10th at 9am the USGA will begin taking registrations for their new introductory education sessions to be conducted after the first of the year.

The course will feature Approximately 4 hours of on-demand Rules presentations, Two 1-hour webinars to ask Rules questions, Access to a dedicated email address with 24-hour (or faster) responses to Rules questions during your active program week

Access to "Night School," which will be a series of live weekly webinars covering introductory-level Rules topics.

Taught by USGA Rules Staff, the sessions will run from approximately January through March and will be open to anyone registered for an introductory workshop. (Details and schedule will be announced shortly.)

Reimbursement of Registration and/or Testing fees will be available upon involvement with MVGA/USGA Association Activities.

Demand is expected to be high, so mark the date on your calendar and get registered this Tuesday, November 10th!

DDWGA Shamble at urbana cc on May 17, 2020

The 2021 DDWGA Season will get underway at Urbana Country Club on Monday, May 17th.

This four woman team will choose their best tee shot and then play their own ball into the hole. The best two scores will make up that teams score.

The event is open to those who have a WHS Handicap Index through the Miami Valley Golf Association.

Registration will open after the 1st of the year.

A NOTE ON OUR YOUTH ON COURSE PROGRAM

One of our core beliefs at Miami Valley Golf is believing that every child deserves access to the life changing opportunities that our game can provide regardless of socioeconomic status.

With that in mind, in 2018, we teamed up with Youth on Course to bring this national program to our Miami Valley area.

Youth on Course members can play at participating courses for $5 or less during allotted times, after paying a small membership fee.

Our foundation (Miami Valley Golf Foundation) supports this program locally by supplementing the difference in green fees to the participating facility.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we will need additional assistance as some of our opportunity for fund raising will not be available. If possible, we encourage you to support this program.
