The day begins when the practice areas open at 8:30 AM, team photos at 9:20 AM, and opening remarks at 9:45 AM. The first shotgun start is at 10 AM, this round features a Four Ball (Better Ball) format. A boxed lunch will be provided after the first shotgun, followed by the second shotgun start at approximately 1 PM with a Foursomes (Alternate Shot) format. In this format, one team member will tee off on odd-numbered holes while the other tees off on even-numbered holes, with penalty strokes not affecting the order of play. A special rule stipulates that no team member can play the same nine holes three times. The third shotgun will be at approximately 3 PM and will feature Individual Stroke Play (Singles). All formats of play will be stroke play in this gross competition. Scoring will include the best three out of four team scores in the Better Ball and Alternate Shot formats, and the best six out of eight singles scores will be used. Each club team may include one professional golfer employed by or affiliated with the club for each format of play. Teams may substitute players or adjust the roster any time before each format. The Miami Valley Team Invitational is open to all recognized clubs within the Miami Valley Golf Association's territory and the entry fee is $1200 per team, which amounts to $150 per player and will be billed to each club. | ||
