Mentors Matters - 6/12/2008 |
The first week of the program continued to move in a great direction. Frank Crockett, our guest speaker for the day, got us started off right with a team building exercise involving a beach ball, sand, and hula hoops. As the kids built up a sweat, I got to sit back and watch one of our more athletic mentors show the kids how it's done. Kind of. |

(The bigger they are, the harder they fall!) |
Today the kids were given an excellent opportunity to sit down and discuss how a persons actions and behaviors produce certain consequences with the mentors. |

After lunch everybody made their way to the putting green where Ted Cremeans had marked out a putting course. The course was designed to help the kids learn about the importance of proper speed and tempo when putting. |
