Kids Developing Positive Views of Future

The temperature was perfect today when the kids showed up to Rollandia.  A large turnout caused the kids to have to be split into two groups.  One of the groups enjoyed a challenging five hole putting course, while the other group hit some balls on the range.  The kids seemed to have improved since their last range session as only a few balls were hit backwards this time!  After practice, pizza was served.

                Our guest speaker today was David Smith, head of Fairhaven Church in Centerville.  David talked with the kids about having optimistic views of their personal futures.  A representative from each table then was asked to present to the whole group what their group had discussed.  Most of the kids talked about the importance of having good grades, avoiding drugs, and being responsible in order to reach their future goals.  Some great and memorable answers were given by McCaulley and Taiyon!  David concluded his presentation by expressing to the kids how uniquely God created them.
