    Dixon feeling at home as a Lady RangerDayton District Women's Amateur Champion, Amanda Dixon had a difficult decision to make last year. Unhappy with her situation in the women's golf program at Wilmington College, she felt she had to quit the golf team or transfer to a school where she could play golf. She had spent too much time perfecting her golf game to give it up.

    Twin Best Ball at Dayton Country Club

    Dayton Country Club played host to the Annual DDWGA Twin Best Ball event on Monday, August 9th.  128 ladies from around the Dayton area competed in three net and one gross division.  The low gross team was Penny Bitzer, Sue Seitz, Cindy Burton and Becky Owen.  Their twin best ball score came in four shots clear of the second place team.
    In the Net divisions, the First and Third Flight ended in a tie for low teams, with all four teams scoring 127.  The lowest net score of the day came from the Second Flight.  The team, comprised of Cecelia Nenni, Lori Lenos, Pattie Randlett and Robbie McClain, shot a 19 under score of 125.  
    We had a special Closest to the Hole Contest presented by our friends at Ross Motor Cars .  Penny Bitzer was the skilled winner, placing her # 10 tee shot inside 5 feet and sinking the putt for birdie.  Penny will receive the use of a Mercedes-Benz for a weekend.  Way to go Penny and thanks again to RMC!
