Dixon feeling at home as a Lady RangerDayton District Women's Amateur Champion, Amanda Dixon had a difficult decision to make last year. Unhappy with her situation in the women's golf program at Wilmington College, she felt she had to quit the golf team or transfer to a school where she could play golf. She had spent too much time perfecting her golf game to give it up.

Cathy Jefferson Receives the DDWGA Medallion

Founding Member, Past President, Past Chair of numerous committees and Champion Golfer only partially describe Cathy Jefferson's commitment and dedication to the game of golf in the Dayton District and throughout the state of Ohio.  Upon receiving the award, Cathy, initially at a loss for words, eloquently spoke of her desire to be of service to others and thought of as a friend to those whose love of golf she shares.  Of course, this sums up the exact reason Cathy received the award to begin with.  Affectionately known as CJ, this lady is a rare combination of someone so selfless and giving that just happens to be such a great golfer.  Congratulations Cathy!

Past recipients include Betsy Reynolds, Diana Schwab and Alice Burton.
